Studio Hire Terms and Conditions

The studio is hired on a “first come, first served basis” and the fee along with that for any additional items, payable in advance, will secure your booking.

Any items hired on the day or any overtime incurred are to be paid for the same day via cash or credit / debit card.

The booking can be re-scheduled giving at least 24 hours notice with no charge providing that another client wasn’t turned away because of your booking. In this case your hire fee will be lost, as is the case for any hire canceled on the day of the booking.

The cost quoted to you for studio hire is either for a half day, 9.00am - 1.00pm, or 2.00pm - 6.00pm or for a full 8 hour day which is 9.00am - 5.00pm. The studio can be hired outside of these hours, by prior arrangement, but may be subject to overtime charges at our current rates. Additional charges may apply for video productions involving lighting rigs requiring large amounts of power or shoots involving water, sand or snow etc. Any damage to equipment or to the studio must be paid for on the day.

Any sets which are built in the studio or changes to the decor in advance of the shoot date will incur studio hire time which is charged at the normal rate. The studio must be left in a clean and tidy condition, otherwise cleaning costs will be incurred.

Assistants (even a photographer if required), catering, stylist, make-up artist, set builder, etc. can be brought in to work with you on your project and are charged to you at cost plus 15%. An in-house courier service is available for collection of products, models from the station etc.

Ancillaries such as lighting, both tungsten and flash, Kino Flo Lights, EL-Skyport flash trigger, dolly tripod with fluid head, studio stand, Colorama backgrounds with Expan holders, Chromakey green backdrops, fabric steamer, wind machine, boom arms, lighting stands, sandbags, extension leads, polyboards, 8ft x 4ft white shooting table with adjustable scoop and many other items are available for hire.
